Giving at Edgebrook Lutheran Church

“Transforming lives by sharing a saving faith in Jesus Christ and living the gospel through service.”

For nearly 75 years, Edgebrook Lutheran Church has been a church home to families on the northwest side of Chicago. Through its many ministries it has led its members on a journey of faith that has sustained them throughout their lives. Its active children and youth ministries have nurtured the faith of hundreds of children and their many outreach ministries have helped to ease the burdens of many people in need.

By signing up for our Simply Giving Online Giving program, you can help to further these important ministries and be part of the mission of Edgebrook Lutheran Church.

When our church was destroyed by a devastating fire in 2010, the ELC congregation snapped into action and developed plans to restore the church building. In the fall of 2010, the Edgebrook Rising Capital Fund was established to provide for improvements that would not be covered by insurance. Phase I of the reconstruction was completed in 2011 and the newly improved church campus has provided a home for a host of sacred and secular events at ELC.

Elijah’s Pantry provides food for needy people in the Logan Square area of Chicago.

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois works throughout the state to touch the lives of tens of thousands of people each year, serving people of all ages, races, religious and economic circumstances. Responding to the Gospel, LSSI brings healing, justice and wholeness to people and communities.

ELCA World Hunger is a comprehensive and sustainable program that uses multiple strategies—relief, development, education, and advocacy—to address the root causes of hunger and poverty. ELCA World Hunger responds to neighbors around the corner and around the world.
